The 6th Session of the Green Zameen Fellowship marked another milestone in our journey to cultivate climate leadership across Pakistan. This cohort brought together diverse young professionals driven by a shared passion for environmental sustainability.
Empowering Future Leaders
Our fellowship program is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Over the course of the session, fellows engaged in:
- Interactive Workshops: Deep dives into climate policy, ESG frameworks, and sustainable development goals (SDGs).
- Field Visits: Hands-on experience at our partner sites, observing sustainable agricultural practices and waste management systems in action.
- Mentorship: One-on-one sessions with industry experts to refine their own green startup ideas and community projects.
A Network of Changemakers
Beyond the skills acquired, the true value of the Green Zameen Fellowship lies in the network it builds. Fellows from this session have already initiated three community-led recycling projects and are collaborating on a joint research paper regarding urban heat islands in Lahore.
"The Green Zameen Fellowship didn't just teach me about climate change; it gave me the tools and the confidence to actually do something about it."
— Ayesha Khan, 6th Cohort Fellow
We remain committed to nurturing this talent pipeline, ensuring that Pakistan's future decision-makers are equipped to handle the environmental challenges of tomorrow.
